A calculator gives a reader something useful to do after reading an article about financing, APR, down payments or vehicle prices. The visitor can test the numbers without leaving the page, while the link to the full BeyondSticker calculator is there only when they want the more detailed ownership-cost view. The widget has no advertising, requires no signup and does not depend on a third-party JavaScript framework.
Performance and privacy
The script is self-contained and performs the basic amortization math in the visitor's browser. Values entered into the embedded widget stay on the page and are not transmitted back to BeyondSticker. Its Shadow DOM styling also reduces the chance that the host site's CSS breaks the calculator layout.
